Totem Guidelines
- Maximum height is 10 feet
- Totems must be made from a lightweight material (e.g Foam, PVC / no solid metal)
- Collapsible/telescoping camera extenders that follow the above guidelines are OK (lightweight/hollow aluminum/polycarbonate)
- PVC, light wood or aluminum must be no thicker than 1 inch in diameter
- Decorated pool noodles work great for easy entrance through security
- Inflatables attached to totems must be deflated upon entry
- Any item deemed dangerous will not be allowed
- Totems promoting illegal activity or hate speech will not be permitted. Please keep it PLUR

ARE THERE ANY CELL PHONE CHARGING STATIONS?
Yes, the VIP Lounge and Relaxation Stations in camping have access to power outlets! Charging cords are not provided.
CAN I LEAVE THE FESTIVAL AND RETURN?
Yes, you will be able to come and go as you wish. Please note that you will be subject to search each time you enter the festival grounds. This is purely for the safety of our guests. PLEASE, there is ZERO loitering in the parking areas. This will be strictly enforced for safety reasons.

No, there is no unauthorized solicitation on the grounds or in any of the parking lots/camping areas.

There are no age restrictions however all humans require tickets.

Day passes to Dancefestopia are not being sold for 2020. Sunday Only Pass may be released closer to the fest.

WHERE ARE THE CLOSEST AIRPORTS TO THE VENUE?
The closest major airport is Kansas City (MCI). The drive to Emerald City is roughly 50 minutes.
WILL YOU BE PROVIDING ANY SHUTTLES TO/FROM THE AIRPORTS?
No.
HOW IS THE TRAFFIC GOING TO BE HANDLED?
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, we ask that you follow the route posted on the website (via 69 Highway to 399th St.). If you try to make your own way there, it will only make it miserable for you and everyone else. A lot of planning has gone into getting EVERYBODY in and out safely and in a timely fashion.
CAMPING FAQ
ARE WE GOING TO BE ABLE TO CAMP NEXT TO OUR CARS?
No. Upon arrival, you will be directed to the main parking area. Camping is located within the park, therefore, no cars are allowed. Please walk your belongings to the camping area which is very close to the parking lot. For those who wish to camp out of their cars, please consider our RV Pass.
WILL THE ENTRANCE TO THE CAMPGROUNDS BE OPEN 24 HOURS?
Yes, from inside the grounds. From outside the festival grounds, no re-entry after 3:00 AM.
HOW BIG IS MY CAMPING AREA?
10ft x 15ft – Only one tent/person per camping pass. Camping areas are regulated by wristbands.

WHAT ARE THE GENERAL RULES FOR BUYING A CAMPING SPOT?
A camping pass is required to enter the camping grounds. One Camping Pass = One Entrance to Camping
Purchaser of the campsite must check-in. The purchaser will be given one wristband at the ticket box. Friends/attendees who do not have a camping pass are not permitted on the camping grounds. Camping passes require a full festival pass too.
CAN WE BRING IN ALCOHOL?
Alcohol is allowed within the camping grounds at Dancefestopia.
Dancefestopia attendees with a camping pass are permitted to bring in a personal supply of alcohol into the camping area of the festival. Fam this is very important that we stick to the city guidelines:
Each Camper may bring up to 2 cases of beer per camping site and 2 boxes of wine per camping site.
No hard liquor is permitted. Only beer and box wine.
No glass containers of any kind are allowed into the campgrounds or concert areas.
No kegs are allowed into the festival or camping grounds.
No beverages of any kind are allowed to enter or leave the camping grounds. Beverages brought into the camping area must remain there for the extent of the festival. No cups/soda/water/etc can be taken from camping grounds to festival music grounds.
The sale of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
21+ to possess or consume alcohol.
Drink Responsibly. Be Safe. Be Smart. Drink Water.
WHAT WILL YOU BE PROVIDING AT THE CAMPGROUNDS?
There will be 24-hour security. There will be water and ice for sale (inside the venue and by roaming vendors) during the day, as well as ATMs and a variety of vendors within the venue. Port-o-potties and water stations will be available. Upgrade to the ‘Relaxation Station’ to unlock showers, charging outlets, flushable bathrooms, sinks with running water and beds to rest in.
WHAT EMERGENCY SERVICES WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SITE? WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NEED EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE (MEDICAL, POLICE, TOWING, LOCKSMITH, ETC.)?
There will be 24-hour medical assistance available throughout the campgrounds and festival site. You can stop any officer you see or any staff member you see, for assistance.
WHERE SHOULD I GO IF I LOSE MY KEYS, MY WALLET OR MY FRIENDS?
Go to the Dancefestopia Information/Ticket Office near the main entrance of the festival.
WHAT WILL WE BE ALLOWED TO BRING INTO THE CAMPGROUNDS?
You can bring food, drink, coolers. NO Grills or Stoves (fire) of any kind. Food and/or drinks may not be taken outside designated camping areas.
AM I ALLOWED TO SELL FOOD/DRINK IN THE CAMPING AREA?
You are NOT allowed to sell food or drink on the property.
WILL BANDS/DJ'S BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE CAMPING AREA IF NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE FESTIVAL? DO WE NEED A PERMIT IF SO?
Be kind to your neighbors. If you have to plug it in (i.e. an amp), leave it at home. NO LOUD MUSIC.
WILL SMALL CAMPFIRES BE ALLOWED IN THE CAMPING AREAS? WILL YOU ALLOW FIRE BINS?
There will be no campfires or grills of any kind allowed per park regulations and for the safety of our guests.
ARE WE ALLOWED TO BRING GAS POWERED GENERATORS?
No generators allowed for general campers. Generators permitted for RV Campers with a valid RV Pass.
WILL THERE BE ANY ELECTRICITY IN THE CAMPING AREA?
No.
ARE SERVICE ANIMALS ALLOWED IN THE CAMPSITE?
No.
IS THERE CELL PHONE SERVICE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE FESTIVAL SITE?

CAN WE BRING WATER INTO THE MAIN CONCERT VENUE FROM THE OUTSIDE?
No. You can purchase water and/or refill at our free water stations.

Yes, please have your wristband on for re-entry. Please note that you will be subject to search each time you enter the festival grounds. No loitering in the parking lots.
WHAT IS THE TAPING POLICY GOING TO BE? WILL WE NEED TO GET TAPERS TICKETS?
Taper tickets are not available. No taping allowed.

ALL TICKETS WILL BE SCANNED.
DO NOT buy tickets from scalpers. DO NOT buy off of Craigslist. Beware of fraudulent sellers, especially on Craigslist and other posting websites. Assure your admission to the event by buying your ticket from Dancefestopia.com. Dancefestopia will take place rain or shine. All acts advertised have confirmed their appearance; however, acts are subject to change without notice. Guard your tickets carefully and always have your ID on you. If your ticket has been previously scanned, you will not be granted access nor be given any refunds. All sales are final – no refunds for any reason.
BORDERS OF THE FESTIVAL will be carefully secured this year. Fence hoppers will be prosecuted.
Dancefestopia is held at a private park. Those caught trespassing will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Non Campers gates will open at 5 pm (3:00 PM for early entry) – no access after 11:00 PM and we will be unable to exchange any tickets for bands after 11:00 PM. Parking per vehicle is $35 cash at the time of entrance for the entire 5 days – with unlimited ‘in and outs’

Parking per vehicle is $35 cash at the time of entrance for the entire weekend – with unlimited ‘in and outs’.
SATURDAY, Sept. 12th – Gates Open at 11:00 AM. Parking per vehicle is $35 cash at the time of entrance for the remainder of the weekend – with unlimited ‘in and outs’.
SUNDAY, Sept 13th – Gates Open at 12:00 PM. Parking per vehicle is $35 cash at time of entrance with unlimited ‘in and outs’.

Dancefestopia offers paid parking for the duration of the event. The parking lots are on-site at Dancefestopia.
We are not responsible for loss, damage or theft of vehicles or personal items; these entities are also not responsible for towing or removal of improperly parked or incapacitated vehicles. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
In order to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Dancefestopia has designated specific ADA accessible parking areas. Very limited ADA accessible parking spaces are located near the park for vehicles displaying a disabled hang-tag or license plate. Dancefestopia has designated a drop-off area at the paved entrance to the park area, at which vehicles displaying a disabled hang-tag or license plate may drop-off disabled passengers and then park the vehicle at the nearest available parking site.
